I'm a mom and so, I'm a busy person. I balance the lives and routines of 2 kids, plus that of our whole family. I make plans and arrangements around the myriad of ongoings, and, if there's time left, I save it for me. Me.
Between work schedules, meal prep, preschool, soccer practice, naptimes and softball games, there is rarely time left over. Why then, am I faced with such a blatant lack of respect and consideration for my time from other moms? From the people who, above all, should primarily and fully understand this?
Recently, I arranged a gathering for my peers only to be cancelled on, last minute. There is something wrong with this picture. Do I give off the impression that I have nothing better to do than arrange for an art project that no one will attend? Do I seem like the type who won't give a damn if you cancel me for other plans or because your schedule got too complicated? You should see my calendar. {This post has been truncated.}
Though I don't intend to be offensive, some things just can't be ignored. If you think this is harsh, you should have seen the initial draft.
