Did you hear about the Lolli-Swing collapse at the local spring fair? Several chilren were onboard this carnival ride when it collapsed under likely rain-soacked ground and 5 children were taken to the hospital. You can read the initial article here.
This is quite concerning to me. Daughter loves this ride and with her getting older and fairs becoming more and more a part of her childhood, this is one thing I really don't want to have to focus my worry on. How is it possible that these huge rides are so affected by poor weather? Who's out there making sure these rides are safe and who's being held accountable?
With the big fair coming in September, you can bet I'm going to be watching this story closely. My children's safety is far more imporatant than a 2 minute ride.
