You know you are deprived of adult interaction when you find yourself striking up conversation with anyone who makes eye contact.
I was working yesterday doing a secret-shop on the Direct TV salesman at Sam's Club and I just didn't want the conversation to end. How dumb is that? This guy could probably care less if I bought anything as long as I would just leave.
These days, you'll find me chatting it up with the baristas, the sales guy, the cashier, my neighbor at the gas pump, whoever. And it's not like I have anything that great to say either. I'm chatting about weather, gas prices, and the excitement of watching the M's game. It's not that I don't have a lot to say, but once I get some attention, I don't know where to start!
Some days I feel like a moron who can't get past 2-syllable words, but you think that would stop me? No.
Stay-at-home mom's have challenges bigger than we realize. It's not entirely about raising our kids right. Its a lot about balance and satisfaction. After all, if momma's not happy...ain't nobody happy.
