I'm spending more time sewing these past 2 weeks than maybe the last 10 years!
I'm terribly nervous about my very first holiday bazaar on Saturday. It has always been a bit of a fantasy of mine to create and sell my fun mid-range items and this will be the first time I'm subjecting myself to a crowd who has no bias towards me. I'm quite interested to get a feel for the public interests and hope to gain some constructive input on how to better my products. AND hope to suffer minimal bruises to my ego.
I always love the feedback from my family and friends, but also worry that the kindness is less honest and more for moral support. Not to say I don't need that - I do.
I'm very aware of the economy and a bit anxious about what to expect for holiday spending this year. My own family budgeting strategy is being revised as we speak. My goal is to be sensitive to the clientele I know best: moms. We could all use a well priced break, so items are priced from $12. And I will be donating a tutu to the raffle.
Anyhow, my fees are paid, my inventory is gaining momentum and I'm nearing the finish line. Wish me luck and stop by to say hello...you know I'll be grateful.
A sample of what you'll find at my booth. (Exact items, colors and quantities vary.)
These look very cute! I hope you do well!
