Ok, so the skilsaw no longer works and I couldn't find a hacksaw to save my life, but tools be damned, I got my compost bin finished. It's only been a goal for the past 2 summer gardening seasons. Husband was getting tired of me using the wheelbarrow - oops.
So, scavanging miscellaneous scraps of wood from around the yard and garage (amazing what you can find in there), and unearthing an old roll of landscape cloth, I got 'er done. Weighing in at 48in x 20in, and covered with some heat holding landscape cloth, my yard and food waste can decompose in privacy.
I'm so excited to have a space commited for my compost and if last year's strawberries were any sign of its success, it's time to take it to the next level.
Now, I'm dreaming of a rain barrel. T minus 2 years.
Project Duration: 2 hrs
Project Cost: free
