Ok, I'm a caffeine diehard. I'm picky enough and I know exactly what I want and how I want it. I'm not afraid to correct my coffee order as a bad cup can put me in a serious morning funk.
You wouldn't imagine me being the type to jump on-board with the new instant coffees that seem to be getting a lot of attention these days with Starbucks' new VIA product, and Nestle's Taster's Choice newly vamped product. Through product samples, I've had the opportunity to try both. I've seen the competitive billboards and price comparisons. Starbucks DOES cost more. Taster's Choice IS easier to find.
The verdict? Starbucks wins. Hands down. As in "no contest." I'm surprised by my like for the Italian Roast blend and am completely in love with its ease of use. It tastes good! It's quicker to prepare than grinding your own beans and assembling a coffee pot. And with 2 kids to feed among the morning chaos, we know how valuable that is. I'm not a fan of the Columbia Roast at all and don't endorse it. You'd be better off drinking hot mud, but as long as you follow the water ratio (8oz!), I think you too will be impressed.
Let me know what you think.
I saw the VIA at Costo in S.Center. Probably cheaper than buying at SBX.
