So I posted a "People" piece off the top of my head before digging through my blog drafts and finding this one saved from March. I find it interesting that my feelings haven't changed much and that I've also felt it important to document the people-dynamic on more than one occasion. This one spins a bit more on the techie interaction, but you'll recognize a trend. Read on...

...You probably think this post is about you.
I warned you I talk in lyrics sometimes but how can we ignore the words that have proven to be so popular, they've spawned hits? Plus, I'm not witty or creative enough in the wordy sense to string these whoppers together on my own. Which has become clear in my fledgling twitter attempts. But that's ok, that's just one of the reasons I love music so much. Ok, tangent complete.
So the purpose of my post is dedicated to the many fine people I have had the privilege to meet day after day. Maybe thanks to my sunny personality, I love meeting people. Real people. I love talking to them and listening to them. I love sharing with them and learning from them. And in some cases I meet people who seem cool enough that I try to keep up and follow them in this wild web.
In this cyber-world that allows us to be both transparent and mysterious it's become almost overwhelming to maintain relations no matter how casual or good-intentioned they may be. Twitter allows me to engage and "talk" directly with notable entertainers and media movers and shakers but at face value that's hardly worth my two cents. Sincerity and truth have fallen by the wayside as we only post our finest photos or our wittiest tweets (which no doubt took considerable efforts to construct). We put our best selves forward to continually give the impressions that we have it together and are nothing short of remarkable in all aspects of our lives - and hide the lesser attractive truths behind well crafted blog posts and comments.
On the flip side we are continually connecting with, and maybe avoiding, the very people who have helped shape our person. No matter how hard we try, we make ourselves nearly impossible to miss as we blog and tweet and engage in every single social network created.
Who are we really? Who have we become? And when will we know? Just ask around, someone will have the guts to tell you. Will you be able to hear it? Handle it?
