FALL FOR NEW eMUSIC

Happy October first. Fall is here. Time for new music on the dock.

Have you not checked out eMusic yet? Seriously. Do it.

Not only are songs clocking in around half-price to those on iTunes, but you can get $20 in free songs just for signing up. And songs range from $.49 to $.89 each. The catch, of course, is that eMusic is a monthly fee site. Meaning you have to commit to a monthly plan. I pay $5.99/mo and get $5.99 worth of music each month.

For someone like me, this is a non-issue. I easily purchase that much (or more) on iTunes every month so now I'm getting almost twice as much music. N-O B-R-A-I-N-E-R.

I love, love, love getting my monthly email stating I now have credits. This month, I purchased a good chunk of cry-in-your-coffee tunes that seem to accompany the heavy dark clouds that are threatening to dump rain. Heavy, dark and terrifyingly emotional lyrics. Brooding and sad. Like saying goodbye to summer. Like getting ready to hibernate until June.

Here's my October playlist... I highly recommend each and every song and adore each and every artist.

Forever - Ben Harper
Human - The Killers
Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy
The Professor - Damien Rice
Who'd Have Known - Lily Allen
You Got What I Need - Joshua Radin

Just Friends - Martin Sexton

Bad Day - Daniel Powter
