KEEPING BUSY

Sometimes life knocks you down a little. Things change, people change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

In light of life's dramatic twists and turns, I find it best to keep busy. Busy doing anything and everything that requires focus to take my mind off the pressures and responsibilities of being a mother, being a wife.

If you stop by my house, you will likely find bags of trash and boxes of used goods by the door.
You will find freshly baked pastries and cookbooks on the counter.
You will find lists of new books, new music and new wardrobe pieces to be read, heard and bought.
You will find lists of wants, needs and recipes.
You will find half started craft projects and half painted rooms.
You will find furniture moved and repurposed.
You will find my nails and hair in new colors.
You will find my closet organized and new outfits to to show off.
You will find fresh bedding and the cracks of the sofa vacuumed.
You will find my children in pressed clothing that actually matches and hairstyles straight out of a magazine.
You will find minute-by-minute daily routines and weekly meal plans so I don't have to THINK!

And that's just the first week.

You might also find me distant and distracted.
You might find me in tears or you might catch me happy.
You might believe me when I say everything is ok or you might not.
You might give me space.
You might give me a call.
You might not even notice.

Thats ok, I'll bounce back, I always do. Right now, I'm just keeping busy.
